Moving around this sloping, overgrown garden was difficult. Three
routes converged at different levels upon the tiny space. There
was nowhere to sit comfortably. In winter the lawn was a slippery
mess.
Now steps and terraces of York stone and London stock brick provide
easy all-weather access whilst doubling as places to sit.
The design appears to widen the garden and leads the eye to the
view beyond the gate.
